I got the opportunity when I went to Barranco a district in Peru, to visit the MATE Mario Testino Photography Museum. Everyone who visits Barranco must visit this place! It is filled with Mario Testino’s finest photography, and worth the time to see him most profound photography. Mario Testino is a world renowned photographer who was born in Peru. As a lover of taking photos of people, I was in awe of how he captures known people for their true selves and capturing their essence with poise and honesty. He even photographed for Princess Diana. He photographed her intimately, and very personally.
The Arequipa Tour
I got a chance to go on a day tour to by myself. I was a bit skeptical of going by myself to the outskirts of town on a tour bus. To my luck, it was filled with wonderful moments to see how groups of people from different parts of the country and continent interact when they least expect it.
Adventures in Downtown Arequipa
Arequipa surprised me. It felt like a small town. They have a rich culture, made up of Architecture from the Spaniards. I spent time in downtown Arequipa, with my two friends from Arequipa. I spent a wonderful time leaning the differences that the culture of the Arequipena’s had to offer. They are very warm people and welcoming. They have rich art and music and thrive on their history which makes them who they are. When many tourists from around the world come, they relish in this almost bohemian environment and beautiful landscape scenery.
Arrival in the City of Cusco
Probably one of my favorite cities in Peru. Everything was so rustic, lovely, and old. A lot of history came from both the Inka’s and the Spaniards. Over hundreds of years ago, the Spaniards came to Peru, specifically to Cusco the city of the Inka’s, after hearing tales

The Magic Water Circuit
(Circuito Mágico del Agua) in Lima Peru is an attraction for visitors at the edge of the downtown area displaying more than a dozen water fountains sending a colorful show choreography to music and lights. Located in Parque de la Reserva, Lima, Peru. I went during their summertime, so it felt really nice to get wet from the heat during the day. ☀️💦
Parque de las Leyendas (Photos)
In Lima, Peru they have a well-known zoo that is quite fascinating because it carries animals from all three areas of Peru: La Sierra, La Costa, y La Selva (from the mountain ranges, the coast, and the rainforest). It was awesome because there were a lot of animals that you never see in the U.S. cause they are strictly South American. Finding out more of the geographical history of these animals in Peru was fascinating.🌴 🐒 🐯 🐵 🐆 🐅
